流行天王迈克尔杰克逊逝世 终年50岁

    美国著名流行歌星迈克尔·杰克逊25日因心脏病发作在洛杉矶的一家医院去世。

    美国《洛杉矶时报》网站援引当地警方的消息称，杰克逊当天下午因心脏病发作深度昏迷被送入洛杉矶加州大学医疗中心，不久该中心的医生正式宣布这位50岁的前流行乐坛巨星不治身亡。

    另据美联社、洛杉矶时报等多家外媒消息，美国时间周四(北京时间周五)，著名歌星迈克尔-杰克逊在因心搏停止在送往医院后死亡。

    据CNN信源称，现年50岁的杰克逊在送往医院后一直处于昏迷状态。

    杰克逊的家庭律师布赖恩-奥克斯曼称，迈克尔-杰克逊的兄弟兰迪-杰克逊告诉他杰克逊实在美国时间周四早晨在西洛杉矶病倒的。目前，杰克逊家人都已得到了该消息，他们或已在医院或赶往医院的路上。



Pop star Michael Jackson is dead after being found not breathing at his Los Angeles home.

Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told the Los Angeles Times.

Officials at UCLA Medical Centre where Jackson, 50, was treated also could not be reached for comment.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Devin Gales would not confirm Jackson's identity but said paramedics went to an address corresponding to the star's home at 12:21pm on Thursday (7.21am Friday, NZ time)  and the person was taken to UCLA Medical Centre.

"We've just learned Michael Jackson has died," TMZ website said reported around 10.10am, NZ time.

"Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back," the entertainment site said.

The LA Times reported that Captain Steve Ruda said Jackson was not breathing when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his Los Angeles home.

The newspaper said paramedics performed CPR at the scene before taking him to the UCLA Medical Centre hospital.

Hundreds of fans have begun gathering outside the LA hospital and Jackson's home.
